Circuit de Greinbach
Pour la troisième fois de la saison, Kenneth Hansen (Citroën Xsara WRC) s'est élancé de la pole position de la finale A de Division 1. Mais juste avant cette ultime course, la pluie a modifié les conditions d'adhérence de la piste.
Au top départ, l'autre Suédois, Per Eklund (Saab 9.3 turbo WRC), placé à côté d'Hansen, a mieux réussi son départ. Avec des projections de boue, les pare-brise sont vite devenus opaques Impossible pour Hansen d'attaquer Eklund sans risquer l'accrochage. Et pour la première fois depuis longtemps, un trio de Suédois montait sur le podium final : Eklund, Hansen et Larsson.
En Division 2, ce fut le même podium qu'à Lousada : Vlassak, Scheveneels et Magnus Hansen. Sans aucune victoire à son actif, Ronny Scheveneels (VW Golf III GTi 16V), le champion 2001, mène la danse après trois courses, alors que Vlassak (Opel Astra GSi 16V OPC), en dépit de deux épreuves gagnées sur trois, paye très cher son tonneau en finale A de Faleyras.
